Hello, I am Meghan Beutler, a native of western Washington State and recent transplant to the Nashville area with my husband, our four children, and our family pets. Over the course of events throughout my pregnancies and birth experiences, I have become passionate about the issues surrounding women’s health and well being and particularly about the continuation of support for mothers during the time after the widely accepted postpartum period of 6 weeks ends. I love labor and delivery– especially the gift of newborn life, and I am eager to help create peace surrounding this special experience for parents adding to their families by welcoming new children. That peace comes from education and practice that will empower parents to make the best and most informed decisions they can surrounding the stages of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

In addition to serving as a doula, I love to read, walk, practice yoga, lift weights, cook and explore with sourdough, and travel. The ocean is always my favorite travel destination.

As a doula, I want to add to your knowledge and sense of peace as you anticipate the arrival of your baby. We can discuss your choice options, what we can do to manage pain in the moment, what role the husband or other birth support person (or people) can play, and especially how to trust your own intuition. I want birth to be a positive experience for you so you can spend your postpartum time learning your baby’s cues and focus on creating a special bond. I hope to offer the support you may still desire or need after your brief visits with your medical care provider. The goal is that you will confidently move throughout your pregnancy and birth experience, knowing you have knowledge and a team who will work with you and for you.
