Dameneke

$850

Hello! My name is Dameneke Charles (pronounced Dominique), born and raised in Richmond, Virginia by an immigrant father from St. Lucia. I hold a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies from Fisk University and am a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. I am currently a program coordinator at Valor Collegiate Academies. Outside of work, I love to shop at my local farmers' market and cook delicious meals. You can also find me meditating at home, reading my devotional, or journaling.

My passion for birthwork stems from my innate qualities as an advocate and leader. Together, we will craft a personalized plan that caters to both you and your baby's needs. My journey into birth work began during my time shadowing midwives and doulas in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Witnessing their dedication to serving their community left a profound impact on me. It reinforced my belief that one's profession is more than just a job; it's a calling to uplift and support those around us. I am new to this work but my passion for helping others has been with me since a child. I received my Doula training through ToLabor and have been an aid through my friend's pregnancies. I took a break from being a Doula to grieve and tend to my mental health after the loss of my grandmothers.

Psalms 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. I am excited to get back into this work and honored to bring my calling as a doula to serve the vibrant community of Tennessee. I welcome all clients regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender.
